Hey, don't mean to be hijacking your list, but was told by a member that this might be a good way to go about this.
<br>
<br>
My name is Garret and I am one of the owners of a company named Ruffdogs . . . we do Linux. :-)
<br>
<br>
On top of the daily stuff we go through, we are also actively involved and architects of a few GPL'd projects. http://myphpnuke.com and http://dogfood.fidofetchit.net are a couple. So we put our money where our mouths are.
<br>
<br>
Currently on the Linux side we have two full time developers and myself and a designer. I am actively seeking another full time developer.
<br>
<br>
Some qualifications are as follows (revised from recent classified ads)
<br>
<br>
1. Linux Developer, I.E., if you are using windows at home, I'm not interested in you. My thoughts are that if you really knew Linux, you would not choose to use Windows. Nuff said.
<br>
<br>
2. I'm not going to bother and list a bunch of languages . . . if you can think of any that you don't know or couldn't pick-up quickly . . . we don't need ya.
<br>
<br>
3. I'm not interested in what you did at your last job, could care less really. I want to know how you spend your free time. Keep it clean. :-)
<br>
<br>
4. You've got to be Uber. :-)
<br>
<br>
5. If you don't know what uber is, we don't need ya.
<br>
<br>
6. Must have an understanding and knowledge of networks and networking.
<br>
<br>
7. Must be able to build a machine (you wouldn't be uber if you can't do this.)
<br>
<br>
8. Have to pass the test of one of our developers.
<br>
<br>
We do some seriously cool shit, in a very cool atmosphere. You DO have to be able to work by deadlines and meet them. HAVE to be multitasking. We have a lot of fun doing what we love to do and get paid to do it. The pay is not great, but we feel the rest makes up for it.
<br>
<br>
The Company stands at about 15 or so, and the Linux based Dev team at 4 currently.
<br>
<br>
So, if you know your shit, and you've always dreamed about getting paid for what you love doing, send an email to hr@ruffdogs.com.
<br>
<br>
Again, if this email is seen as an intrusion, I do apologize. As I said, one of your members recommended this action as the replies we were getting were not promising. :-)
<br>
<br>
We are a Ft. Collins based Company.
<br>
<br>
Thanks
<br>
